Regarding handling of original hand washing basins
About the material
This product is made of solid teak wood and is unpainted. In dry environments, wood may shrink and crack or chip, but this is caused by the moisture-regulating function of solid wood. When humidity increases, such as during the rainy season, cracks may return to normal.
To prevent the wood from drying out, we recommend that you regularly apply beeswax to the wood. (We do not sell beeswax.)
- Cracking due to drying
*The product may already be cracked or chipped when it is delivered. Also, since it is an overseas product, small scratches may occur during shipping. Neither of these are defective products, so please understand that this is a characteristic of the product.
